Sherri’s At 5th – A reputation for Great Seafood
Sherri’s at 5th is known for tasty seafood.
Before visiting I heard rave reviews about her Jambalaya, Fish & Chips, Kettle Chips and awesome breakfast offerings.
Sherri’s lived up to the expectations. She offers lunch specials daily and has a fish filled menu with a few burgers thrown in for good measure.
The Seafood Chowder was cooked per order so halibut, salmon and shrimp can be added or not as desired. The chowder base is vegan so vegetables can also be added if a vegan dish is preferred.
The cod sandwich offered a large, lightly breaded cod filet with hand cut fries. The cod was fresh and tasty without being greasy or heavy like many breaded fish sandwiches. The fish can be fried or sautéed. Rockfish and halibut are also available.
The Kettle Chips were fresh made and well seasoned. They came with a side of french onion dip, but I enjoyed the flavor too much to cover it up with dip.
The Chowder was deemed some of the best in the city and the halibut salad was a generous portion with halibut cooked to order.
Sherri enjoys cooking and making sure what she offers is fresh and high quality.
I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other menu items.
I hear breakfast is also worth a visit with fresh ingredients and large portions at reasonable prices.
Sherri is too busy cooking to spend time on social media so you will have to stop by Sherri’s At 5th to see the special of the day or call 529-7994.
Sherri’s is on the corner of 5th Avenue and B Street, next to Avis Rental, so parking in the 5th Avenue Garage is handy.
