I like Thai food and was excited when a new Thai restaurant opened downstairs from my office. Thai Curry on 4th Avenue at D Street in the big blue building is a great addition to downtown dining.
I have eaten there several times now and have enjoyed each visit. Everyone I have talked to has enjoyed what they have tried. I am very fond of Pad Thai so I tend to judge a Thai restaurant on this dish. Thai Curry makes a great Pad Thai with shrimp (my favorite) or chicken. I tend to be picky about chicken but I even liked their chicken dish. The Pad Thai was so good that I had it for dinner and wanted it for lunch again. I think I could eat it every meal for a while and not get tired of it.
I have tried to expand my tastes and have sampled some other dishes too. Thai Curry has some nice lunch specials that include soup, salad, rice and egg roll. The Gaeng Musamun Beef was delicious. I tried a friends Garlic chicken and liked that too. I also tasted the Curry Chicken which is a yellow curry with coconut milk and potatoes. I found that perfect for my tastes which are sensitive to too much spice. The lunch specials are filling and I ended up with enough for lunch the next day too. All the servings are good sized.
Thai Curry is open for lunch or dinner and they deliver. I found it quick for lunch and it was nice to pick up some dinner on my way out of work and take it home.
With food this good and a location so close to work Thai Curry could become a habit!
