Anchorage Downtown Partnership Announces Rachel Morse as Interim Executive Director

Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. is pleased to announce that Rachel Morse will step in to serve in a time-limited role as the Interim Executive Director.

Rachel Morse has worked in Alaska’s nonprofit sector for 18 years. She has been the Executive Director of a small nonprofit, the development director of a large statewide nonprofit and most recently an assistant vice chancellor in alumni relations for the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA). She was recently elected to the Chugach Electric Board of Directors, where she is the treasurer and chairs the audit and finance committee. She is also a board member and treasurer of the Rural Community Assistance Corporation, a 13 western states regional economic development organization.  Rachel has an MBA from UAA and Masters of Science in Natural Resource Management from Purdue University. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Rachel has been a Peace Corps volunteer in Zimbabwe and first came to Alaska to do forest health inventory work for the US Forest Service.

Rachel comes to Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. from Foraker Group’s Interim Executive Director Program. Foraker Group serves as the state association and nonprofit capacity building organization for nonprofits and tribes across Alaska. The consultants who are selected by Foraker Group to provide this service are highly qualified and seasoned professionals who have led organizations for many years.

During this time of transition, Rachel will carry out 2018 programs and Clean & Safe Operations while maintaining a stable and effective organization for our investors and partners.
