TRICK OR TREAT STREET
We’re excited to announce that we’ll continue to offer our Trick or Treat
Street event in a new and modified model – a month-long Scavenger Hunt! We know times are tough, so participation in this downtown activation is FREE. We are asking businesses to provide Halloween window art/displays throughout the month of October. Anchorage Downtown Partnership will provide businesses with an item to include in the window display that will act as a clue for the scavenger hunt. By transitioning this event to a scavenger hunt spread out across downtown throughout the entirety of the month we hope to provide the space for entertainment while increasing physically distanced traffic downtown.
In order to participate, we will ask businesses to be open to the public from 3-6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays. We will provide businesses with a stamp to use once participants have found the scavenger hunt item in the window display. Once participants have completed the entire scavenger hunt, businesses must be willing and available to collect the filled out maps, which ADP will pick up at the end of the month-long event.
Businesses will be asked not to hand out candy as a precaution. Instead, four
Alaska Airlines tickets will be drawn for contestants who complete the scavenger hunt.
The map will highlight businesses that participate as well as any specials the participating businesses have throughout the entirety of the event.
Trick or Treat Sign-up HERE – Sign-up will close September 10th.
