Events are what helps keep our neighborhood vital! We host a series of events to uplift Downtown Anchorage as the city’s epicenter of arts, culture, and local commerce, and to help spur economic activity for Downtown Anchorage businesses.

Live After Five Summer Concert Series

Live After Five is when downtown winds down and gets ready for Anchorage’s magical summer weekends. Held on Thursdays beginning at 5:30 p.m., heavy-hitting up-and-coming local bands bring life to the party and serenade diverse crowds of locals and tourists that come to Town Square Park–the heart of Downtown Anchorage–for a truly good time. Each Live After Five concert has a beer garden serviced by local- and/or Alaska-based beverage vendors and is often joined by local food vendors, as well. Live After Five has become a fixture of summers in Downtown Anchorage, and remains our most popular summer events series, consistently attracting over 18,000 attendees each summer.

Fridays on 4th

Formerly known as “Music in the Park,” Fridays on 4th remains our classic noon concert hour at Peratrovich Park. This event typically draws a diverse crowd of working professionals, young families, tourists, and other passersby, for an intimate concert featuring some of southcentral Alaska’s most enjoyable musical acts. Take a stroll down 4th Ave., grab a bite to eat at a food stand lining the sidewalk, and take a moment to relax, refresh, and enjoy some local tunes as you power up to finish the rest of your week.

Jazz in the Park

For those who love and appreciate the art of jazz music, Jazz in the Park is our low-key Saturday afternoon concert series, produced in conjunction with the Alaska Jazz Workshop to bring jazz to Peratrovich Park. The best jazz groups from across the city and state join us downtown and serenade fans old and young, seasoned and new. Learn more about the Alaska Jazz Workshop here.

Downtown Summer Solstice Celebration

The Downtown Summer Solstice Celebration has remained a neighborhood fixture since 2003, and each year it keeps getting better. With fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, a wide array of food trucks and beverage options, many local vendors and community partners participating, and a stage that remains jam-packed with local musical, dance, and cultural talent for the duration of the event, it is no wonder why, each year, over 10,000 people make their way to 4th Ave. to revel in summer, sunshine, and Alaska’s longest day of the year.

Our event series helps attract an annual average of over 65,000+ people in non-resident foot traffic throughout the summer, fall, and winter. We know that creating opportunities for the community to gather in celebration and joy not only makes our neighborhood a more vibrant and lively place to be, but also has a direct and positive impact on economic activity for our city’s small business owners!

Get Involved with ADP's Events

There are a variety of ways your business(es) or organization(s) can participate in Anchorage Downtown Partnership events. From Downtown storefront direct participation, to being a vendor at one of our annual signature events, to fiscal sponsorship — we are always looking to collaborate with others and make our events even bigger and better than before, so more people will know about our unique, vibrant, and happening neighborhood.

Our events are funded primarily through sponsorship dollars and community support. Our status as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization allows charitable contributions from sponsors to be tax-deductible.
